Take control of your next active loudspeaker project
Build an active system around a flexible, all-analog crossover. The LR24-3B from Audio products gives you 24 dB/octave Linkwitz–Riley filtering, plug-in crossover-frequency selection and balanced connectivity on a compact board.
Configure it for a 3-way system, a 2-way system or a 2-way setup with a subwoofer. Its modular approach lets you choose the crossover points and optional functions for your loudspeaker design.
Built to give your design more flexibility

- Adaptable crossover points: plug-in resistor-bank boards let you select frequencies to suit your project.
- Room to expand: two plug-in function-board positions per output support additional filter functions.
- Connection options: balanced input with balanced and unbalanced output stages.
- Selected filter components: Panasonic audio-grade polypropylene capacitors with 2% tolerance in the filter section.
- Power-supply flexibility: separate supply connections for the filter and input/output stages.
- System integration: an audio-detection output can be used with the PWRSW-01 power controller.
Plan your system
One board serves one channel; a stereo system requires two boards. The board measures 100 × 131 mm. An active crossover operates before the power amplifiers, so plan the amplifier channels, power supply and wiring required by your chosen configuration.
Choose crossover frequencies from your drivers’ usable ranges and verify the complete loudspeaker response during setup. The final acoustic result also depends on driver response, level matching, placement and alignment.
Choose your version and OpAmp option
Select “PCB only” or “Build product” in the ordering menu, then choose the appropriate OpAmp option. The selector lists “No OpAmp”, OPA2134UA, OPA1602, OPA1612 and OPA1656; the price and availability appear for the selected combination.
The LR24-3B uses SMD devices. OpAmps are fitted to the board and cannot be exchanged like socketed parts, so choose the required version when ordering. For a bare-board project, select the PCB-only version and the compatible “No OpAmp” option.
Complete your active system
Optional parts include crossover-frequency resistor banks, plug-in function boards and input/output terminal boards. Use the RBANK24-B frequency boards for the SMD crossover version and choose compatible connection accessories for your enclosure.
