2. Which personal data we use

  • Orders: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number where provided, products ordered, order history and payment status.
  • Accounts: the profile and login information you provide, together with your order history. You can review and update your account details through Your Account.
  • Contact and support: your contact details, the content of your message and information needed to answer your question.
  • Comments and reviews, where available: the information entered in the form, your IP address and browser information for spam detection. Approved comments or reviews may be publicly visible.
  • Website use: technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and access times, through website logs and the analytics integration described below.

If you upload an image, remove embedded location information (EXIF GPS) before uploading it. Other visitors may be able to extract this information from publicly available images.

3. Why we use your data

We use personal data to process and deliver orders, administer payments, provide customer accounts, answer questions, offer technical support and keep the website secure and operational.

The legal basis depends on the purpose: performing a contract or taking steps at your request before a contract, meeting legal obligations such as tax administration, and legitimate interests in customer service and website security where those interests do not override your rights. Where processing requires consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Audio products does not send newsletters. Order confirmations, delivery information and replies to your questions are service communications.

4. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared where needed to provide the services you request or to meet a legal obligation.

  • PostNL: we use PostNL for shipping. Delivery details and, where needed, contact information are shared to deliver your parcel and provide delivery updates. See PostNL’s privacy statement.
  • Mollie — planned payment provider: we plan to introduce Mollie for online payments. Once this service is enabled, payment and transaction information needed for your selected payment method will be processed by Mollie. Until activation, this paragraph describes the planned service rather than a current payment integration. See Mollie’s privacy statement.
  • Website and communication services: hosting, website maintenance and communication providers may process data needed to operate the website and handle customer communications.
  • Google: the website includes a Google Analytics integration and a Google Maps embed on the contact page. See the cookies and embedded content section below and Google’s privacy policy.

Where comments use Gravatar, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to that service to display a profile image. See Automattic’s privacy policy.

External providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy statements explain their processing locations and applicable transfer arrangements. Contact us if you need more information about a provider involved in your order or use of this website.

5. Cookies, analytics and embedded content

Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as your shopping basket, login session and website preferences. Blocking these technologies in your browser can affect those functions.

The website includes Google Analytics to measure website use. Depending on its configuration, this service may process page views, interactions, device and browser information and online identifiers. Google Maps and other embedded third-party content may also receive technical information when loaded and may use their own cookies.

Consent is required for cookies and tracking technologies where applicable under privacy and cookie law. Simply visiting this website or reading this policy does not constitute consent. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings; doing so does not delete data already processed.

6. How long data is kept

Retention depends on the purpose of the data and any legal requirements.

  • Tax and invoice administration: records subject to the Dutch fiscal retention obligation are generally kept for seven years. A longer statutory period may apply to particular records.
  • Customer accounts: profile information is kept for the operation of your account. You can request account closure and deletion; records that must be retained for legal or administrative reasons are kept separately for the required period.
  • Customer correspondence and support: information is kept for handling your request and related follow-up, warranty matters or disputes, with retention determined by those purposes.
  • Comments and reviews: published content and associated information are kept while the content remains on the website. You can request its removal, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
  • Technical logs and analytics: retention depends on security needs and the retention settings of the relevant service. You can ask us for information about the period applicable to your data.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Access is limited to what is needed for administration, support and website operation. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

Send your request to info@audio-products.eu. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Please do not send a full copy of an identity document unless we explain why this is necessary and how to provide it safely.

We respond within the time limits required by the GDPR, normally within one month. Some requests are subject to exceptions, including records we are legally required to retain.

You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our services or data processing change. The date at the top indicates the latest update. For questions about this policy, email info@audio-products.eu or visit our contact page.
