Description
Bring 12 V trigger control into your audio project
The AP-12VTRIGGER-INO is a 12 V trigger input board with a 3.5 mm jack socket and an optocoupler. It provides an input interface for DIY audio equipment that needs to respond to a trigger signal from a preamplifier, receiver or system controller.
A trigger signal is used for control: it tells compatible equipment when to operate or return to standby. This board is an input interface for integration into your own circuit; it is not a complete amplifier power controller.
Key features
- 12 V trigger input board for audio control projects.
- 3.5 mm jack socket for the incoming trigger connection.
- Optocoupler-based interface between the trigger input and your control circuit.
How it fits into your project
The optocoupler transfers the control state through an optical coupling. Your project’s circuit then uses that state to implement its intended standby or switching behaviour. The final operation depends on how the board is connected and integrated.
Before connecting
- Check the board’s connection details, input requirements and output interface before wiring.
- Confirm the trigger source’s polarity, cable type and available output current.
- Verify compatibility with the control circuit that will receive the board’s output.
