Build your next loudspeaker with quality at its core

The XO-2 from Audio products is a 2-way passive crossover for DIY loudspeaker projects. Combine your woofer and tweeter with a 12 dB/octave Linkwitz–Riley network built around Jantzen components, and choose the frequency and impedance combination that suits your design.

Choose the assembled version for a practical starting point, or select the bare PCB if you prefer to build the crossover yourself.

Components selected for your audio project

• Jantzen air-core coils in both the high- and low-frequency sections.
• Jantzen Cross Cap capacitors in both filter sections.
• Tweeter level matching: a −3 dB attenuation circuit with 8 W resistors.
• Convenient connections: Faston terminals for the input, woofer and tweeter outputs.
• Neat construction: a double-sided PCB with a black solder-mask finish, measuring 112 × 131 mm.

Choose the combination for your drivers

Crossover-frequency options are 1750, 2000, 2250, 2500, 3000 and 3500 Hz. Woofer versions are available for 4 or 8 Ω, with tweeter versions for 4, 6 or 8 Ω. The assembled crossover has a stated power-handling rating of 100 W RMS.

Match the crossover to your drivers and loudspeaker design. Driver impedance and acoustic response influence the final result; nominal impedance and crossover frequency alone do not guarantee a flat loudspeaker response.

Installation parts for the assembled version

The listed assembled-product package includes six 5 mm polyamide standoffs, six black M3 × 14 screws, and colour-coded 2.5 mm² cables with crimped Faston connectors on the PCB side:

• Input: red and black, 0.3 m.
• Tweeter output: yellow and brown, 0.6 m.
• Woofer output: blue and brown, 0.4 m.

The product photograph shows the 2500 Hz version for an 8 Ω tweeter and 8 Ω woofer. Components vary with the selected model. The PCB-only option is the bare board for your own component build.
